
Angad practice focuses on both insolvency and restructuring matters and civil litigation. He advises debtors, creditors, court officers, purchasers, contractual counterparties, and others across a wide range of insolvency proceedings. Angad’s litigation experience includes acting for clients in complex commercial litigation, fraud litigation, shareholder disputes, oppression claims, real estate litigation, construction disputes and more. He has extensive experience in obtaining, defending and setting aside Mareva Injunctions and Attachment Orders. Angad has worked on large-scale, document-intensive cases and has led teams through AI-assisted review processes, utilizing advanced e-discovery technology to streamline and manage cases effectively.
Angad has represented clients before the Alberta Court of Justice, the Alberta Court of King’s Bench, the Alberta Court of Appeal, the Supreme Court of British Columbia, and various Administrative Tribunals. With his experience in both restructuring and commercial litigation, Angad is well-equipped to provide strategic, results-driven legal counsel to clients facing challenging financial and legal issues.
Before commencing his legal career, Angad completed an internship at the International Criminal Court in the Hague, serving within the Immediate Office of the Registrar — the group supporting one of the Court’s three elected principals and head of its largest organ. — and worked closely with the Registrar’s Chief of Staff. He provided support for internal and external negotiations and consultations; assisted with budget planning and implementation, organized and published the Court's internal legal framework; worked with the procurement review committee; worked with external consultants to analyze and review the Court's disciplinary and administrative legal frameworks, Additionally, Angad drafted speaking points, speeches, memos and other documents, as well as note verbales and letters to embassies and other parties.
