Ed Wilson Receives the Georges A. Goyer, QC Memorial Award for Distinguished Service
Lawson Lundell lawyer, Edward L. Wilson, has been recognised by the Canadian Bar Association, British Columbia Branch, with their prestigious Georges A. Goyer, QC Memorial Award for Distinguished Service. This award recognises individuals that have made exceptional contributions to the law, legal profession or jurisprudence in British Columbia.
Ed's practice focuses on the real estate and municipal law fields with a specialty in real estate development. He is also one of the leading experts on strata corporation windups. Ed has been an active member on a number of committees over the years proposing changes to strata property law, including the British Columbia Law Institute’s (BCLI) committee that recommended changes to the Strata Property Act.
Ed is currently on the board of the BCLI, and has been actively involved with the Canadian Bar Association and the Law Society of British Columbia, sitting on numerous committees and task forces throughout his career. Ed is also the leading volunteer at the Continuing Legal Education Society of BC having chaired more than 10 courses and written over 30 publications on a variety of topics.
Ed will be presented with this award at the CBABC's Annual Bench and Bar Dinner on June 15.
