Lawson Lundell lawyer Craig Ferris, KC, FCIArb., was quoted in an article by Canadian Lawyer titled 'Justice Leonard Marchand appointed as British Columbia’s first Indigenous Chief Justice.' Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced on Friday, December 8, that Justice Marchand will be the next Chief Justice of British Columbia. He is the first Indigenous person to hold that role in the province’s history.

“He's a very careful, thoughtful jurist,” Craig said. “This is an appointment of a really good judge.”
