Lawson Lundell partner, Ryan Berger, was interviewed by The Lawyer's Daily as part of an article on a potential common law privacy tort made possible due to a recent B.C. Court of Appeal decision to uphold the certification of a data breach class action. 

In the article, Ryan expressed surprise at the Court's decision, "because breach of confidence has been the basis for other claims in the federal jurisdiction and it does seem to go against case law elsewhere in the country."
