Lawson Lundell Launches Estate Planning & Litigation Group
Lawson Lundell is delighted to announce the launch of a new practice area within our Litigation & Dispute Resolution and Corporate Commercial Law groups - the Estate Planning and Litigation Group.
Estate planning can encompass a variety of practice areas and our Group is well positioned to provide the necessary corporate, real estate and tax advice required to create and administer a personalized estate plan that will suit clients' needs and minimize the tax burden.
However, even the best estate plans can be challenged and these disputes are increasingly common and, often times, emotionally charged. The Group has experience with every aspect of the planning and management of estates, across jurisdictions, including litigation issues that arise.
"Estate planning has become increasingly important for clients over the last number of years as they realise the value of having an estate plan that is legally sound and carries out their wishes in the best possible way," said Jisoo Vis, associate in the Firm's Corporate Commercial Law Group.
"Even the most carefully constructed estate plan can face legal challenges and litigation", said Peter Roberts, QC, partner in the Firm's Litigation & Dispute Resolution Group. "In those cases, it is important to have litigators that are experienced in handling the often complicated legal and practical issues that arise in this type of litigation."
