Clifford Proudfoot & Valerie Mann Named in Business in Vancouver's BC500 List
Lawson Lundell is delighted to announce that Clifford G. Proudfoot, QC, and Valerie C. Mann have been recognised on Business in Vancouver's BC500 list of the most influential business leaders in British Columbia for 2021.
Cliff is the Managing Partner of Lawson Lundell as well as the Firm's Chief Inclusivity Officer. His practice is focused on environmental and Indigenous litigation. His clients include companies in the forestry, manufacturing, mining, real estate development, hydro-electric power generation industries. Cliff has represented his clients in environmental prosecutions, administrative actions, permit appeals, environmental assessments and has helped clients respond to a wide variety of environmental investigations and prosecutions.
Val is the Co-Chair of the firm's Mergers and Acquisitions practice group and Co-Chair of the firm's Technology Law practice group. Her practice is transactional (mergers and acquisitions / corporate finance) as well as advisory, and includes acting for public and private companies as well as for private equity firms and large institutional investors. She has significant experience in private equity and venture fund formations. Val has been lead counsel on a number of large mid-market transactions including in the resource/commodities, real property (acquisitions and joint ventures for the development of industrial, and other commercial property) and manufacturing sectors in addition to acquisition activity in the technology sector.
