Today, for many Energy Regulators, project proponents, Aboriginal groups and intervenors, issues surrounding Aboriginal rights and title and the Crown’s duty to consult Aboriginal peoples have become a critical focus in the regulatory approval processes for major (and not-so-major) projects.
