In the March 2019 issue of BCBusiness, the fifth annual B.C.’s Most Influential Women feature, recognizes women in finance in BC.
Val is a senior corporate partner with a practice focused on mergers and acquisitions, private equity/venture capital and corporate finance. With extensive transactional experience over almost 30 years of practice, Val has led domestic and cross-border deals in the technology, manufacturing, services, natural resources industry sectors, as well for companies in the consumer packaged goods, food manufacturing and sustainable impact sectors. Val has extensive experience in the private equity/venture capital fund sector in fund formation and fund management as well as acquisitions/divestitures by private equity an investments by venture capital funds.
Val was named to the inaugural BC Business Magazine’s Most Influential Women in Business list in 2015 and was recently inducted into WXN’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women in Canada Hall of Fame. Val is the former Managing Partner of Lawson Lundell.
With 17 years of expertise in corporate finance and securities law, Angela is sought out for her ability to efficiently manage complex, time-sensitive transactions and provide pragmatic advice to executives and boards on compliance, governance and risk management issues.
As an experienced securities lawyer, Angela advises domestic and international companies across industries in connection with strategic M&A, stock exchange listings, compliance, joint ventures, financings, corporate governance and corporate social responsibility.
