Ben Foster is a lawyer in Lawson Lundell’s Vancouver office. He is interested in exploring multiple practice areas with a particular interest in the firm’s Litigation and Environmental, Indigenous and Regulatory Law practices.
Ben completed his Juris Doctor at the Dalhousie’s Schulich School of Law with a specialization in Aboriginal and Indigenous Law. During law school, he was an editor of the Dalhousie Law Journal. In his final year of law school he participated in the Laskin Moot, and he also won the WA Henry Prize for excellence in constitutional law courses.
After law school Ben clerked at the Tax Court of Canada. Following his clerkship he pursued a Masters of Law at McGill’s Faculty of Law with a focus on the aboriginal right of self-governance.
Prior to joining the firm, Ben worked in the BC Legislature and interned in the Senate. He also spent five summers cutting grass on the grounds-crew at a local golf course. Outside of work Ben enjoys spending time with his family, following the local hockey team and going for a swim.
