Lucas Soper is an articling student in the Vancouver office of Lawson Lundell LLP. He is interested in exploring multiple practice areas with a particular interest in the firm’s Environmental, Indigenous and Regulatory Law practice.
Lucas completed his Juris Doctor at Dalhousie University’s Schulich School of Law, where he obtained certificates in Indigenous and Aboriginal Law, and Environmental Law. During law school, Lucas co-coordinated the Dalhousie Youth Legal Education Society’s Consent Project, which teaches youth about the laws of consent and sexual assault. He also worked as a Senior Law Student for Dalhousie Legal Aid Services.
Before his legal career, Lucas played Varsity Baseball at the University of British Columbia and worked as a Traditional Knowledge and Use Studies and Indigenous Health researcher for Indigenous nations, communities, and organizations.
