The people at Lawson Lundell in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group are leaders in the industry and I look forward to growing my litigation practice along side of them.

Candace Formosa is an associate in the Vancouver office of Lawson Lundell and a member of the firm’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution Group. Candace practices all areas of commercial and civil litigation. She assists clients on a variety of matters, including contractual disputes, tort claims, property-related disputes and insolvency and restructuring matters. Candace has appeared before all levels of court in British Columbia.

Prior to joining Lawson Lundell, Candace was an associate in the Vancouver office of an international full-service firm.

Defended companies in a receivership proceeding against a claim for substantive consolidation and fraudulent conveyance: NYDIG ABL LLC v IE CA 3 Holdings Ltd., 2023 BCSC 1383, with the fraudulent conveyance finding set aside on appeal, IE CA 3 Holdings Ltd. v. NYDIG ABL LLC, 2024 BCCA 38.

Defended against an application to stay a claim in favour of arbitration: Lyra Growth Partners Inc. v Davidson, 2022 BCSC 2107 and Davidson v. Lyra Growth Partners Inc., 2024 BCCA 133.
